my personal opinion on diet plans like weight watchers and nutrisystem is that even if they work it's not work the money. not when you can make and create the food yourself. I've known a few people who's been on those plans and there experience wasn't all that great. and I, myself has always viewed it as a scam. here are my reasons for believing this.
- besides the fact that my friends told me it taste horrible (witch is a matter of opinion) they contain allot of salt in there product. witch salt in of itself is bad for you( but also can contribute to bad taste now that i think of it). most of there food contain more than 600 milligrams of sodium and a few go well beyond 700! The average America consumes 4,000 milligrams a day, when the recommended consumption is 2,400 by the USDA. imagine having 3 of their small sodium packet meals a day.
- another thing I take into account is that their portions for the meals are very small. even I look at them and think, "my god that's small". if I'm saying that you know it to be true. because I eat like a bird. basically, your loosing weight because your eating less, not because your eating healthier and in the long run it can take it's affects. beside I wouldn't trust eating any food that has been frozen and ship. shipping food just sounds crazy, it would be like me shipping you a steak in the mail.
- pre-planed and pre-made foods don't actually teach you healthy eating habits. it takes all the work out. they should tell you how to make some of the food and prepare it yourself. that way you know how to make your own meals and obtain more health knowledge in the long run. the most important part of any diet is the trial and error and preparation part. you might loose the weight but you won't keep it off. as soon as you take yourself off the diet you'll go back to old habits and balloon. it is true though, you can eat whatever you want and still loose weight, if you use proper moderation. but you have to learn that. you can't learn what your not doing yourself.
- some people enter weight watcher type diets believing they won't have to exercise. witch is true to a point. whenever you cut down on how much you eat you will begin to loose weight. but to truly have a healthy nice body you MUST work out. diets alone don't work and you don't need a plan to tell you to do that when you have the Internet full of information.
- like I just stated, you can do all this yourself and it would be better if you did. why would you pay someone else to do what you can do for free. I understand its hard, people just want a way out, but I hate seeing people take advantage of others self image. beside you wouldn't need celebrities to sell your product if it actually worked the way you make it SOUND.
- I will say this though, if you feel like you want to use weight watchers, or nutrisystem and that's what you need to really get out there. if that's what you need to start a healthy life style, than go do it. I'm nobody to judge. whats important is that you see a change you want to make and your deciding to do it. like I stated this is just my opinion and it doesn't have to be yours. so if your using the systems and it seems to work for you that's great. however I don't see how it would work for me. but hey, we are all different. now I'll leave you with the words of a great man of fiction called Forest Gump "that's all i gotta say about that."
